Some pictures of the cropped version of my 90s Style s.e.v. Bat Jumper! It's proving to be more popular than the full length -which I guess is because cropped things make layering fun!!

P R I X   D E   M A R I E   C L A I R E -Backstage
Halcyon in Dion Lee (Thought her name was Calcium in the beginning,
which thought was extra cool! Would it be weird if a girl was called
Calcium? Somehow I think it's a great name, but I do accept that I can
easily be placed in the weirdo category at any time/any place)

Ivana Martyn-Zyznikow in Zimmermann
Kelsey Martinovich

Kelsey Martinovich in Ellery

One of the Marie Claire stylist -I really adore her, think she's beautiful

+has a really great energy about her! Especially her voice, it's somehow
smooth ....and calming (and yes those comments probably just got me ticked
off as a creep I know! But it is the truth!)

Alina with her camera from Lifebyalina
Husband + wife? ;p
Myself (in Josh Goot )+ Karima

Love this shot!

Lara Semrany touching up Alina's make-up

One the left is beautiful Yasmine from purplegrape

How cool is that make-up artist's hair??!

Lauren Rippingham on the left
Really liked the deep colour of nail polish!
Madeleine, the dancer who got to be lifted meters into the air with those

huge white balloons!

And finally some of the backstage snaps! 40 girls stuck together for the day -two mini bus loads of 20 girls at a time on a ride from the backstage area to the show meant for some good laughs!

Inspiration Pics. x 2
I just can't stopping looking at these two pictures! I love the outfits and the facial expressions of the girls. They are taken from STREETFSN blog, which is my new blog addiction!

Adore the texture of the beaded vest matched with her little clutch
+adorable smile!!
She looks so sweet!

That headband is to die for! Once again, it's the texture that gets me -and the
rich 50s red with that soft navy blue sweater just complete her amazing look!
No doubt her porcelain skin +light eyes add to the beauty of the pic!

I'm off to a show rehearsal for the Prix De Marie Claire Awards tonight. Apparently we will be 40 girls in the show, so it's going to be big! Am taking my camera so promise some pics. of all the gorgeous gowns and sexy suits! Have a great day everyone!! ♥

Marie Claire ...LOVE
(no really, I  l o v e  you Marie Claire!)
Photo: Harold David
Styling: Kate Harrowsmith
I love going to castings in the Pacific Magazines building, it's just down the street from where I live, across a park filled with friendly dogs running around, and past one more quiet residential street, before getting to a main road, with some traffic noise and the visual .....pooooouuf! - of a huge complex that appears to have sprung from nowhere! All of a sudden this alienated building looks down on you from it's super high levels, juxtaposed with a flat basketball court, parking lot area.

Approaching the building that seems deserted, all quickly proves to be lively and a world of its own. With people buzzing in the cafe near the entrance and others walking around, going for appointments or leaving from them.

My first time visiting the building was so exciting, and somehow I managed to score an editorial shoot at Brisbane's Cloudland for Australian Marie Claire's September issue last year. Below are some pics.

As for yesterday's trip, walking into a room with girls trying on fun, voluminous vests to keep warm, was kind of surreal! Seems like the perfect job, when there are like 10 clothing racks (and apparently heaps of stuff had just been sent back to their original homes, so 10 was nothing!) packed full of amazing clothes, two bookshelf-like shelve sets filled with shoes and accessories ....I got caught in a day dream that, that was my closet(!!!) and at times got confused where to look because everything seemed so appealing. Hope that the casting/fitting will turn into doing the job, because I can only guess how lovely it would be to see how all the outfits get put together +on whom!

Think working at a magazine would be such a fun job!

(p.s. I tried to get an outfit post before I left home, but it didn't quite work out -next time)

A Sparkle of Inspiration

I call her the London-Sydney girl. Her style + attitude seems like she lives in London but in fact she's a Sydney sider! Not only that, she has a wicked name ...Oksana! This girl has a limitless supply of beautiful pictures -too beautiful in fact that I just have to share some.

Newtown Market -Snapped by YUHEE

The sweet Yuhee @ streetfashionstop took these pics. of me in my element at my market stall two weeks ago.

After forgetting my sunblock the previous week +experiencing a harsh day out in the sun, I was eager to cover my shoulders and face -despite the heat. As for the boots, I'm still as in love with them as I was the first day I bought them in Athens, so it will take more than 40 degree heat to keep those beauties off my feet!
